Red & Kraft Christmas cards

Hiya! I hope you've had a good week! This is another long post warning. I think a lot of future ones might be as now my crafty time is scarce I'm trying to make more than one card with the supplies I have out rather than tidying everything away and starting from scratch the next time. Just realised my rambling is making this post even longer so I'll cut to the chase - 2 more Christmas cards :-)

This first one is for Day 2 of my challenge to case Kristina Werners Holiday Card Series cards. I used the idea for a Kraft base and a reindeer peeping through a circle cut out this time. It's also using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch as well as this fortnights Festive Friday challenge photo and the Simon Says Stamp challenge of Anything Goes. All the red presents made me think of this paper pad.

My second card is also using the Festive Friday photo and the Simon Says challenge but I've combined it with this weeks Retro Sketches sketch. I made a subtle shaker card with some vellum and large sequins. I die cut and stacked up 4 or 5 cardstock rings to make the holder for the shaky bits, much neater than a load of foam pads ;-) Thanks for looking, have a great weekend!

Neutral Christmas card set

Hiya! Warning, this is a pretty long post! I've made another set of Christmas cards, 3 this time, and for a few different challenges.

Firstly is my own challenge. I've watched Kristina Werners holiday card series for the last 3 or 4 years and every year I've said I'll make a card inspired by every day - only just managed day 1! Haha! Though that's one better than previous years :-) It's fairly easy to see how I cased this card though instead of grey I used beige, instead of silver I used platinum and instead of the embossed background I used this beautiful patterned paper (hopefully in the close up you can see the shine on this paper) It's from this gorgeous pad from Buttons for Brains - love it!

This second card is using this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch. When I was making the previous card, I didn't know whether the gold or platinum embossing would go best so I made both using this gorgeous sentiment die and 2 layers of powder. Then I stamped and embossed the snowflakes and half the sentiment in the same gold.

Then for my 3rd card I used the other half of the gold sentiment this weeks Merry Monday challenge of neutral colours, snowflakes and dry embossing. All 3 of these cards are for this weeks Muse challenge which was to make 3 cards using die cuts, cream and a single sheet of paper - this is where I bent the rules, I only use 6x6 paper and only had one of each sheet so I made all 3 cards using papers from the same collection, I hope that's ok! Thanks for looking and making it to the end! :-)

The first one is using this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch along with this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge of Kraft card and the current Merry Monday challenge of Non traditional colours. I thought the blue & gold from this Bo Bunny pad was an interesting option.

Halloween Wishes

Hi! I hope you having a good week. I've whipped up a little Halloween card this week. I don't send them or even do anything for Halloween but I still like to make one or two! This stamp is actually a whole witch flying on a broom image but I only wanted something small so I did a bit of masking to just get the witches hat, and of course that needed some sparkle! ;-) The pattern strip is a portion of a background die which I cut a few times from different colours then randomly slotted together. It's for this weeks CASe this Sketch, Less is More Autumn colours theme and also this weeks Paper Players theme of Halloween. I hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Supplies;
Stamp - Penny Black 'Halloween Mimi'
Cardstock - Kraft, Stampin' Up 'Pumpkin Pie', 'Basic Black' & 'Smoky Slate'
Die - Hero Arts 'Triangle Background'
Sentiment - Dovecraft (old one)
Colouring - Copics & Wink of Stella 'clear'

Snowflake card

Hi! Me again! I'm here with a Christmas card today to add to my woefully small stash of them, best get cracking! I've used some gorgeous glittery paper and gems from the Winter Woodland collection available at Buttons for Brains. I almost didn't use this paper as I like it so much - only a sentence that would make sense to a crafter! ;-)
I've used the new MFT sketch along with this weeks Merry Monday challenge of Spots and/or stripes, and also the current AAA Cards supply list challenge of vellum, glitter, a stamp, a holiday and kraft. I stamped these gorgeous MFT snowflakes onto vellum with glittery powder to give them a floaty look, it's hard to photo but really pretty in real life. I also used the same embossing powder for the sentiment and the spotty vellum panel under it. I hope you like it, thanks for looking :-)

Supplies;
Paper - Dovecraft 'Winter Woodland'
Stamps - My Favourite Things 'Snowflake Splendor' & Mama Elephant 'Basic Borders'
Dies - My Favourite Things 'Snowflake Splendor'
Sentiment - My Favourite Things 'Stitched Stockings'
Cardstock - Neenah 'Desert Storm'
Other - clear gems & Wow! embossing powder 'Sparkling Snow'

Chocolate birthday card

Hi! I'm back with a card to show you which would be perfect for a chocoholic! ;-) I saw this weeks CASology Cue Card and this idea sprang into my head, also using this weeks Paper Players sketch. It's only after I made it that I realised it's not very 'CAS', sorry about that! I love this background though, it's made using the most gorgeous stamp and embossing powder. I wanted a really decadent feel :-) The 'chocolate bar' is made using 3 layers of card for the base, then 3 layers for each square. I thought it would give a chunkier look than just using foam pads for dimension, and I added the 'Enjoy' to look like it was embossed into the bar. Then the sentiment has a torn foil wrapper sort of look too! I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Supplies;
Background - Hero Arts 'Lotus Background'
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Early Espresso' & 'Naturals White'
Sentiments - Avery Elle 'Thanks a Bunch'
Ink - VersaMark & Stampin' Up 'Early Espresso'
Die - Nestabilities 'Squares'
Other - Wow Embossing powder 'Rich Pale Gold'
